You can read about it in detail (and view the other entries) on their website but in short, 26 directors each make a film that is connected to death in some way. The title of their short has to represent a letter of the alphabet. For example, last year the film started with 'A is for Apocalypse' followed by 'B is for Bigfoot'. This is the second year of the competition and we had to choose something beginning with the letter 'M'.
Our film revolves around Krampus, a beast like creature from Alpine folklore who punishes naughty children through the festive season. We always thought he was a really interesting character and it was only a matter of time before someone made a movie about him. In true British fashion we decided to turn him into a miserable, hateful and depressing wreck, who wants something better out of life.
We filmed this in Sherwood Forest (home of Robin Hood) in one night. Lloyd (from Holomax) played Krampus, Paul Warren played his companion and Jade Bruce did the makeup. We also wrote some festive music for the film, which you can listen to below or DOWNLOAD HERE FOR FREE. Krampus sings lead on one of the tracks. He always wanted to be a rockstar.
Check out all the cool junk below for more information. There's links to a production blog about the film and also one that Tom wrote about his experience in sound recording. On top of that there's a behind the scenes video, free soundtrack download and a load photos.
